March is Women's History Month! In 1981, Congress passed Pub. L. 97-28, which proclaimed the week of March 7, 1982 as Women's History Week. The National Women’s History Project petitioned Congress in 1987 to expand the week into a month-long celebration. Since 1988, presidents have proclaimed March as Women's History Month!
