Online Resources for Faculty: Canvas & the Library

The VC Library has content in the Canvas Commons that can be directly imported into your courses. There are a few ways you can preview the library's content.

• Go directly to the Canvas Commons and Search for "Ventura College Library"
• Import the VC Library Canvas page, which helps students navigate library resources and also has information on MLA and APA citations.
• Import one of custom modules:
  • Communication Studies
  • English
  • Geology
  • Information Evaluation

If you are interested in something custom-made for your class or a specific assignment, please contact us and we'll be happy to create a page or module for you.

When creating a new Canvas page, you can find the following library apps under "External Tool" that will allow you to easily search and embed library content. 

• Films on Demand
  Search and embed videos from the Films on Demand Collection
• LibApps Library Content
  Search and embed content from any of our Library Guides (full guides, or specific pages)
