Ventura College's Standards of Student Conduct lists "Academic dishonesty, cheating, or plagiarism," as a violation, subject to disciplinary action. The Academic Honesty Policy specifically identifies "Using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate content and presenting it as your own" as a form of cheating.
Using AI for course assignments may or may not be allowed as it is at the discretion of your instructor. Always check the course syllabus, assignment instructions, and with your instructor.
If using AI is allowed, it still needs to be cited properly. Use the resources below to learn how to cite AI generated content in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles.
