Embedding Library Content in Canvas: Articles & eBooks

1. From an existing module in Canvas, click the "+" button.

2. From the drop-down menu, select "Add External URL."

3. In the URL section, enter the VC proxy and article/eBook permalink. Enter a Page Name, then click on "Add Item."

The VC Library's proxy prefix is: https://venturacollege.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

The proxy prefix is required to allow off-campus access to library resources. 

Here is an example of an article permalink:  https://search.proquest.com/docview/2314645531?accountid=39859

The proxy prefix would need to be placed at the beginning of the link to allow for off-campus access:

https://venturacollege.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://search.proquest.com/docview/2314645531?accountid=39859
